Weekend Cabin Bookings

Weekend cabin bookings cover two-night and three-night stays in the smaller cottages along the western shore, usually from Friday afternoon to Sunday evening. The desk confirms a named cabin, a specific arrival window and a hand-over place before a booking is final, so families are never left guessing which porch belongs to them. Every booking includes a jetty access card, a written inventory of the cabin contents and a short note on the water rules that apply to the weekend.

We keep weekend windows deliberately sparse. Only two cabins are let on any given weekend in the shoulder months, which keeps the shared shore path quiet and gives the dock crew room to inspect the boards between stays. Guests who return often receive first refusal on the same cabin for the following year, and the desk records any request in the ledger rather than promising it by memory. Weekend bookings open in early March and close when the last cabin is winterised.

Pets are considered on a case-by-case basis and must be declared before the booking is written. Parking is limited to one vehicle per cabin, with a second space available on request. Weekend guests are asked to leave the jetty gate locked at dusk so that the shore path stays safe for the evening walkers who use it year round.

Dock Slip Leases

Dock slip leases assign one berth to one craft for a defined period, with a written description of the cleat line, the mooring rings and the depth recorded at that position. Before a lease begins, the crew surveys the berth and shares the reading with the guest so that a boat is never placed where it will touch bottom at low water. Annual leases run from the first board-laying in spring to the pier lift in late autumn, and mid-season leases are offered when a berth becomes free after a departure.

The lease carries a maintenance clause. The dock crew inspects pier boards, mooring hardware and the ladder at each berth on a set schedule, and any fault found is repaired before the berth is used again. Guests are responsible for their own lines, fenders and hull, and are asked to report a loose cleat or a damaged ring the same day rather than waiting for the next inspection. Overnight stays aboard are permitted within the lease term, subject to the quiet hours listed in the lease schedule.

Slip space is limited and assigned by craft length and draft rather than by request order alone. The desk keeps a waiting list for each berth size and will contact families in sequence when a space opens. A slip lease can be combined with a cabin booking or a season pass, and the desk will consolidate the paperwork so one lease document covers the whole arrangement.

Season Pass Plans

A season pass is the simplest way to use the shore without booking a cabin each time. Pass holders may visit during daylight hours across the open-water months, use the shared reading shelter, launch a small craft from the marked ramp and walk the eastern reed path while respecting the nesting closure that the crew posts each spring. Each pass is issued to a named household, and the desk keeps a current list so that the shore gate can be checked without challenging familiar faces every week.

We offer three pass shapes: a weekday pass for those who visit outside the busiest weekends, a full pass that includes weekends, and a family pass that names up to four adults with children included. All three receive the same welcome briefing on the first visit of the year, which covers the water rules, the rescue equipment locations and the quiet hours that apply to the shelter. The briefing is short by design and takes place on the dock rather than in an office.

Pass renewals are discussed in person at the end of each season. If a household has not used its pass enough to justify renewal, the desk will say so plainly and offer a smaller plan rather than push a larger one. That honesty is the reason many of our pass holders have kept the same plan for several years and recommend the shore to their neighbours.

ZKayak

Kayak Rack Rentals

Kayak rack rentals provide a numbered bay on the covered store for one kayak, a paddle pair and a small dry bag. Each bay carries a strap with a guest number so that gear is never mixed between households, and the crew checks the straps each morning during the open season. The rack sits under a timber roof, which keeps the hull out of direct sun and away from the ice that forms on the open shore in winter.

Rack leases are offered alongside a cabin booking, a slip lease or a season pass. A household that already holds a pass can add a rack bay for the months it keeps a kayak on site, and the desk will release the bay at the end of that period without penalty. Craft must be registered at the time the bay is assigned, and any change of craft is recorded before the boat is placed on the rack.

We ask that guests carry their craft to the ramp along the marked route rather than dragging it across the reed bank. The route is short but it protects the bank and keeps the shore path clear for others. Kayaks left unstrapped, or stored without a current bay assignment, are moved to the holding rack and the guest is contacted the same day.

BIce

Winter Ice-House Lets

Winter ice-house lets give cold-season guests a small shelter with a heated bench, a shelf for tackle and a clear view across the bay. Lets are short, usually a morning or an afternoon, and are confirmed only after the dock crew has read the ice on the approach and marked a safe route. The shelter is never let during a thaw or after heavy snow until the route has been rechecked and the markers reset.

Each let begins with a short briefing on the approach route, the wind shelter and the location of the rescue line. A guest who arrives without a booking will be turned away if the desk has not confirmed the route that day, and we make no exception for familiarity. Families who fish together are welcome to share a let, provided the number of people stays within the shelter limit printed on the door card.

Ice-house lets close at the end of February or earlier if the season turns mild. The desk keeps a written record of every route check, which is available to guests on request, and any guest who finds the approach changed during a let should return to the shore and call +13255231350 before continuing. Safety comes before the booking, and our winter guests value that caution.

WLong

Long-Stay Cottage Terms

Long-stay cottage terms cover full-season and multi-season leases for families who treat the lake as a second home. Each term begins with a written inventory of the cottage, a maintenance calendar and a named leasing contact who remains the same for the length of the lease. Multi-season terms are renewed in autumn, before the cottages are closed, so that a family knows its position for the following year without waiting through the winter.

The maintenance calendar lists the inspections that the crew will carry out, the dates on which the pipes are drained before frost, and the weeks when the shore path is closed for repair. We share it in plain language and welcome requests to move a date where the work allows. Long-stay guests are also given first refusal on a rack bay or a slip lease at the same cottage, which keeps the whole arrangement on one document.

Long-stay terms are not a substitute for ownership, and the lease states that plainly. Structural changes, sub-letting and permanent moorings require written consent from RHPZ HAUS, LLC. In return, the guest receives a stable cottage, a fixed fee schedule and a desk that answers the phone. Several of our long-stay families have held the same cottage for more than a decade, and the ledger reflects that continuity.

RHPZ HAUS, LLC opens its summer season window in early May, and the leasing desk welcomes written enquiries from families who would like their cottage pass held before the pier boards are laid for the year.

Process Overview

From first enquiry to key hand-back

The leasing process is the same for every service, which is why the desk can combine a cabin, a slip and a rack bay on one document. A written enquiry comes first, followed by a call to confirm the dates, the craft and the people named on the lease. The desk then checks the ledger against the dock survey before any window is promised, and a written confirmation follows once the check is complete.

Before a stay or a term begins, the guest receives a short briefing on the water rules, the route to the dock and the maintenance dates that apply. Keys, pass cards and rack straps are handed over in person at the office on 4712 W Bayview Dr, South Jordan - 84009-1328, United States (US), or at the dock house when a later arrival has been agreed in writing. Nothing is left in a lockbox overnight without a confirmed arrangement.

At the end of a booking or a term, the guest returns the keys and the pass card, and the crew checks the cottage, the berth or the rack bay against the inventory. Any issue is recorded, discussed and closed in writing before the deposit balance is released. The same record becomes the starting point for the next season, which keeps the continuity that our returning families rely on.

The four steps, in order

Enquiry. Write to leasing@rhpzhaus.lol or use the form on the contact page with your dates and the service you need.

Confirmation call. The desk calls back to confirm the people, the craft and the window, and to answer any question about the water rules.

Written lease. A short lease document sets out the fees, the dates, the inventory and the maintenance schedule.

Hand-over and hand-back. Keys and pass cards are issued in person at the start, and the inventory is closed in writing at the end.

Choosing a Lease Line

Which service fits which family

Short Visits

Weekend cabin bookings and season pass plans suit families who visit a few times a year and prefer a simple entry. Neither requires a boat, and both can be extended later if the lake becomes a habit.

Boat Owners

Dock slip leases and kayak rack rentals are built for guests who keep craft on site. The desk matches the berth to the hull and the draft, and records the survey reading before the lines are tied.

Cold Season

Winter ice-house lets and long-stay cottage terms cover the months when the shore is quiet. Ice-house access is weather-led, while long-stay terms run through the winter with a heating briefing each year.

Tell the desk what your year looks like

Send the dates, the number of people and any craft you plan to keep on site. The leasing desk will reply with the windows and berths that remain open, and will say plainly if a fit is not there.
